The National Hurricane Center is watching a tropical wave in the far Atlantic that they give just a 30% chance of growing stronger over the next five days.

The disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms was located about 1100 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde islands Monday.

Forecasters say conditions are not favorable for development during the next few days. But as the wave moves in a west to west-northwest direction around 15 miles per hour, it could find itself in more favorable conditions by the end of the week.
