New Orleans film production crews got a major plug from a couple of veteran actresses during the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards Monday night.
Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, who star in the New Orleans-filmed FX series, "American Horror Story: Coven", both won Emmys and then publicly thanked their New Orleans crew.
Lange said the crew was "one of the greatest" and that they worked "tirelessly". Bates said, "Our crew in New Orleans who worked grueling hours to bring this story to life, this is for them."
Katie Williams, Director of Film New Orleans in the Mayor's Cultural Economy Office, says the public thank you for the local crew was gratifying.
"When the on-screen talent acknowledges and appreciates the locals and the work that they do to make these television and film projects that come from New Orleans a success is always exciting to see that, especially on a stage like the Emmys," Williams said.
