LSU Hoops Legend Passes Away

Longtime Tigers fans will remember that decades before the 'Pistol,' there was the 'Flash.'

LSU basketball Hall-of-Famer Frank 'Flash' Brian passed away Sunday at his home in Zachary.

The 94-year-old was a star in the early and mid-1940s sandwiched around three years in World War Two. Brian was twice named All-SEC before a successful NBA career that included a unanimous selection to the league's first All-Star Game in 1951.

Brian was the oldest surviving player from that game, and his death means former Celtic Bob Cousy is the only surviving player.
