State education officials say the ACT scores of students in Louisiana are continuing to improve.

They are up for the fourth year in a row.  The average ACT for the 2016-2017 school year is 19.6, a tenth-of-a-percent increase over the previous year.

However, educators say a score of more than 21 is evidence that a student is truly ready for college.
