State Outlines Coastal Restoration, Hurricane Protection Projects

Crews Formally End Clean-up of BP Oil Spill

The state expects to spend upwards of $562 million on coastal restoration and hurricane protection projects during the next fiscal year that begins July 1st.

That was the information delivered to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority yesterday. A total of 23 projects will be under construction then.

They are being funded through financial settlements associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010.
