Governor Edwards says FEMA is agreeing to extend a temporary housing program for August 2016 flood victims through August 15th of this year.

He sought the extension to give homeowners more time to rebuild without having to pay out a lot of money for Mobile Housing Units.

The rent is currently set at $50 a month, but with the latest extension will go up incrementally in June, July and August based on the number of bedrooms and the geographic location of the MHU.
