The Coast Guard in New Orleans launched a search early last night of Lake Pontchartrain after a white-hulled vessel was reported to have capsized.
The report came in at 7:30 from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office after the boat was spotted about a quarter mile east of Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner.
Search crews were looking for the owner or anyone who may have been on board the vessel.
Involved in the search are:
- Coast Guard Station New Orleans 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew
- Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew
- Kenner Police Department
