Spirit Airlines is adding a new flight route out of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans Airport.

The airline will begin offering daily non-stop service to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina in the spring. Spirit says the addition is part of an expansion into North Carolina's Research Triangle.

The new route launches May 2nd, shortly before the new billion dollar airport terminal is set to open.
