Governor John Bel Edwards and New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson will both receive honorary doctorates from Loyola University.
Benson will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters and deliver the commencement speech to the 2019 class on May 11th at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Edwards will receive an honorary doctorate of laws and deliver the law commencement speech in a separate ceremony taking place that same day.
