A school that has been in the Treme neighborhood for nearly 100-years is shutting down this week.

St. Peter Claver Catholic School is closing its doors at the end of the 2019 school year because Archdiocese of New Orleans officials say they've seen depleting enrollment. On top of that, the school has experienced a budget deficit.

The last day of school is May 29th, but the school may reopen in two years.
