Demolition of Cranes at Hard Rock Site Delayed

US-HOTEL-CONSTRUCTION-ACCIDENT

The plan to demolish cranes at the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel in New Orleans is being delayed.

City officials announced today the plan originally set for this afternoon would be pushed back to midday tomorrow.

Demolition experts are planning to use explosives to bring two giant unstable cranes down as part of that ongoing excavation.

Officials say current tropical storm warnings for southeast Louisiana are a factor in that decision.
