A new plan could force many Jefferson Parish students to change schools.
The proposal was presented last night and it calls for high-scoring schools to absorb ones that are underperforming.
More behavioral and mental health services would also be offered under the plan.
This proposal comes as three elementary schools were closed last year under a plan that received the board's blessing.
