Nominees For Next Jefferson Parish School Superintendent Named

Three candidates are now vying to replace Cade Brumley as Jefferson Parish Public schools superintendent after a fourth applicant withdrew her name this week.

Officials announced yesterday that current Jefferson Parish Chief of Schools James Gray, St. Tammany Parish school district administrator Corwin Robinson, and New Orleans charter school administrator Sean Wilson remain in the chase for the position.

The three seek to succeed Brumley, who left the state's largest district after just over two years to become the state's superintendent of education.

School Board President Tiffany Kuhn said Tuesday that she plans to call a special board meeting for July 15th to interview and select a new superintendent.
