Louisiana State Treasurer John Schroder is receiving treatment in the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Schroder's office confirmed yesterday that he has been admitted to the hospital and is responding favorably with little discomfort.
Schroder is also in communication with his staff virtually and will continue to work remotely to maintain the department's programs.
The 59-year-old Schroder has served as Treasurer since 2017 following several terms as a state Representative from the 77th District.
