A PJ's coffee franchisee is losing his ownership after comments he made online.

Stephen Bruno, Jr. responded to a post by basketball star LeBron James with a derogatory comment.

James' posted "Protect our Young Black Women and Men" on social media and Bruno's response, which included an eggplant emoji as an interpretation of a sexual organ, had immediate consequences.

The company called the words "inappropriate" and "uncalled for."

PJ's have not said what exactly happens to someone when they are removed as a franchisee.
