Port NOLA officials say business is picking up, thanks to the huge shipping backups on the Pacific and Atlantic Coasts.

A much higher volume of cargo traffic, both containers and bulk cargo, is now passing through the city's wharves, along with cruise passengers.

Container ships have been backing up at Los Angeles and other ports for almost two months, and a lot of stalled cargo is starting to come to the Gulf Coast.

Cruise ships are returning to New Orleans too, including the American and Carnival cruise lines. Norwegian returns next week.
