Activists are planning what they call a "redistricting takeover" during the state legislature's redistricting session this week.
Black Voters Matter is joining a coalition of local and national civil and voting rights groups to put on the event.
The two-day statewide bus tour starts on Tuesday, followed by a rally at the McKinley High School Alumni Center from 5 to 8 p.m.
A press conference is planned on the steps of the Capitol building from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, followed by testimony before house and senate committees.
