The system in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico had not yet been named by the National Hurricane Center Friday afternoon, though they do forecast for it to strengthen into Tropical Storm Danielle before making landfall near the Texas/Mexico border on Saturday night.
A tropical storm warning was issued for parts of the Texas and Mexico coastlines.
There is no direct impact to Louisiana from the system. Its remnant moisture could lead to increased rain chances for our area next week.
