Cantrell Recall Effort Moves To TV Ads, Mailers

The recall petition effort against Mayor LaToya Cantrell is now running TV ads.

The ad campaign started Monday, and advises registered voters in New Orleans that the petition form is being mailed to people's homes

It calls on voters to fill out the postage-paid form and drop it in the mail.

The ads are also reportedly going to be aired on the radio.

Organizers say that a third of the nearly 54,000 signatures required by the February 22 deadline had been collected as of last week.
