Travel Trailers Made Available To Some Gretna Residents Impacted By Tornado

Jefferson Parish and the city of Gretna are offering temporary housing for the victims of last week's tornado.

Residents whose insurance doesn't cover the cost of temporary housing can make use of travel trailers at Bayou Segnette State Park.

Professional tarp installation on damaged roofs will be offered to homeowners whose insurance won't cover the work.

Rental assistance is also available to those who meet income requirements, and who suffered serious tornado damage based on parish assessments.
