A roadwork project getting underway in New Orleans today is expected to result in road closures for six weeks.
The Department of Public Works breaks ground this morning at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Camp Street.
The more than $12 million project will repair and replace sewer and drainage lines in the area.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be finished by April 28.
Until then, drivers and pedestrians can look for signage and traffic control in the area.
