NFL tight end Foster Moreau is stepping away from football after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Moreau announced the cancer diagnosis on Wednesday after he underwent a routine physical with the New Orleans Saints and found out the news.

The 25-year-old tight end said he's ready to "fight a new opponent: Cancer."

Moreau is currently a free agent after playing the last four seasons with the Raiders.

He caught 33 passes for 420 yards and two touchdowns last season with Las Vegas.

Moreau suited up for LSU between 2015 and 2018, with 52 career receptions for 629 yards and six touchdowns.
