Barbe High School is celebrating one of its graduates who helped LSU baseball win its seventh National Championship last month.
Former Buccaneer Gavin Guidry got the final six outs for the Tigers as they defeated the Florida Gators 18-4 in the finale of the College World Series.
On Tuesday, Guidry was back in Lake Charles, where family, friends, teachers, coaches, teammates, and local dignitaries honored him.
Mayor Nic Hunter awarded Guidry a key to the city.
