Orleans Parish officials are appointing an interim director of the 911 center.
The Communications District has announced that Director of Tech Karl Fasold will lead the center for the time being.
Fasold replaces Tyrell Morris, who abruptly resigned yesterday following an investigation into a crash involving his city-owned vehicle and allegations that he altered city documents.
Morris said last month that he would resign in September.
