Sen. John Kennedy is taking issue with what he calls the lack of transparency in the search for the next chief of the New Orleans police.

The Louisiana Republican took to the U.S. Senate floor on Wednesday to plead with Mayor LaToya Cantrell to release the names of the six semifinalists.

Earlier in the day, Cantrell confirmed that interim NOPD superintendent Michelle Woodfork is one of the final six candidates.

But Cantrell told reporters that the media and the public don't need to know anything more at this point.
