The husband of Linda Frickey is proceeding with a lawsuit against the parents of the teenagers who killed her in a carjacking last year.
A jury convicted 18-year-old John Honore of second-degree murder on Monday. His three accomplices had earlier pleaded guilty to attempted manslaughter.
Rickey Frickey sued last March in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, seeking more than $50,000 for wrongful death, loss of income, and emotional suffering.
The lawsuit was put on hold until the end of the trial.
