A plaque is now in place to commemorate three children who drowned in the Mississippi River nearly two years ago.

In April 2022, 15-year-old Kevin Pool Jr., 14-year-old Brandy Wilson, and her eight-year-old sister Ally-Berry Wilson left nearby McDonough Park and disappeared into the river.

Community leaders in Algiers placed the plaque on the levee near Socrates Street and Brooklyn Avenue, where the kids were last seen.

The dedication ceremony was on Friday.
