The Slidell Police Department is reporting the arrests of several members of a violent criminal gang.
Assisted by federal agents, the Slidell Police Narcotics Division and the SWAT team raided two homes last Tuesday in neighborhoods near Robert Boulevard.
Officers seized tens of thousands of dollars in cash, illegal narcotics, several fully automatic rifles, and handguns. Some of the guns had been stolen.
The suspects' names haven't been released because the investigation is ongoing.
