New Orleans officials say some of the crime cameras in the French Quarter are having problems and need repairs.
The presence of cameras is intended to be a crime deterrent, but residents say they're getting a false sense of security because many of the cameras aren't working.
City officials say they're enhancing the network to improve performance.
In the meantime, city staff will download video from the cameras manually whenever necessary.
