The NOPD is investigating a Sunday night murder in New Orleans East.
Shortly after 9;30 p.m, officers responding to a report of gunfire, found a man dead at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
The victim was described only as black male.
The name of the victim will be released by the Coroner's Office.
