The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting in Gentilly late Monday night.
The victim, a man in his early 20's, was discovered around 11:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Eastern Street.
Third District officers found the man outside a house. He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS workers.
The name of the victim will be released by the Coroner's Office.
