Humane Society Offering Reward For Tips In Pit Bull Death

The Humane Society of Louisiana is hoping a reward will get police closer to an arrest for the death of a pit bull.

Rescuers say they found the dog dead at a local gas station on Sunday. The Humane Society's Jeff Dorson says it looks like the driver dragged the dog to death.

Dorson isn't sure if the driver intended to kill the dog or simply forgot about it. It doesn't matter, because even an accidental dragging could still earn the driver an animal cruelty charge.

The Humane Society is offering a $500 reward.
