Congressional Members Show Support To Scalise At Game

Lawmakers Play In Congressional Baseball Game One Day After Shooting Incident

Members of Congress are rallying in support of Representative Scalise after last night's Congressional Baseball Game.

Some Democrats and Republicans in attendance last night at Nationals Park wore the purple and gold colors of LSU in honor of Scalise, who graduated from Louisiana State in 1989.

More than 20,000 people were in attendance, which raised over $1 million for local DC charities. Ticket sales skyrocketed in the hours after the shooting at the Republican baseball practice Wednesday in Alexandria, Virginia that left Scalise and a lobbyist critically injured, and three others hurt.

Democrats won last night's game.
