A group of 100 members raised money to buy a patrol car for the New Orleans Police Department.

The group which consists of businesses, residents and advocates are working to lower crime rates in the French Quarter. Members say they've seen a crime take place on almost every corner of the area and want to take action.

They were able to raise enough money to buy the car and say they will continue to fund raise to eventually buy another vehicle.
