Shoppers can expect sales taxes to be slashed this weekend as part of Louisiana's annual Sales Tax Holiday weekend.
Sales taxes will be reduced on most retail items such as back-to-school supplies, electronics, appliances and other tangible products. The discount will only apply to the first $2500 of a total purchase.
Certain items are excluded such as vehicles, restaurants and fast-food orders, and services like hotel occupancy and laundry services.
