Legal Victory For Uptown Property Owners Suing S&WB

A federal court ruling is giving Uptown property owners in New Orleans a new lease on life in their lawsuit against the Sewage & Water Board.

FOX 8 reports a judge with the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has tossed aside an attempt by the board to shift blame for property damage caused by years of construction on the Southeast Louisiana drainage project to private contractors.

The case, that has been pending for a couple of years, is now expected to move forward.
