Those almost daily increases in gasoline prices in and around the Big Easy since late August appear to have come to a halt, at least for now.

AAA's latest fuel gauge report puts the average price of regular in New Orleans at $2.38 a gallon.  It held steady all weekend, and rose less the six cents in a week's time prior to that.

The post-Hurricane Harvey increases began with the fuel averaging around $2.15 a gallon.
