Rajon Rondo Out 4-to-6 Weeks After Sports Hernia Surgery

New Orleans Pelicans guard Rajon Rondo is out four-to-six weeks following surgery for a sports hernia. He had the procedure to repair a core muscle injury.

Rondo was hurt in Friday's preseason loss to Oklahoma City. The 31-year-old is in his first season with the Pelicans after signing a one-year deal in the offseason.

Rondo averaged 7.8 points, 6.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 69 games with the Chicago Bulls last season.
