Thousands of Entergy customers are able to turn on the lights and crank up the heat today after not being able to do that for a while yesterday.
Close to 3,000 residences and businesses were left in the dark at one time or another on New Year's Day because of outages, one of them impacting folks in Algiers. There was even a partial outage at Armstrong International Airport.
Service still hadn't been restored to hundreds of customers in New Orleans East as of early this morning.
