Balloons Take Out Power To Thousands In Mid-City Sunday

The power's back on, but it was out for nearly two and a half hours for more than two thousand Entergy customers in Mid-City yesterday afternoon.

As it turned out, metallic balloons floated skyward around 2:20, taking a power line down near Jefferson Davis and Gravier and leaving a lot of folks without any electricity.

Utility crews were able to restore service at around 4:45.
