A woman who admitted yesterday to stealing $116,000 from the Louisiana Supreme Court won't be locked up for the crime.

38-year-old Misty Corb of Meraux pleaded guilty to four counts of identity theft during her arraignment in New Orleans.  In return, and because she is a first-time offender, the judge is having her serve four years' probation and make restitution.

Corb pocketed the money through the creation of fraudulent temporary judicial appointments and opening bank accounts in other cities.
