Some of the most vulnerable residents of Louisiana could lose healthcare benefits come July 1st.
The Louisiana Department of Health says notices are going out Thursday to 37,000 elderly and disabled Medicaid recipients warning them about the possible termination of coverage because of the state's budget problems.
It was just last month that the Louisiana House gave the greenlight to a state operating budget that eliminates four Medicaid programs.
