The never-ending war on drugs has led to the arrests of 22 people in Plaquemines Parish, with six people still being sought at last report.
The sheriff announced Tuesday most of the arrests occurred late last month during Operation "Spring Cleaning," an ongoing undercover narcotics investigation.
More than half of the suspects face charges of distribution or intent to distribute illegal narcotics including cocaine, heroin and meth.
