Final action by the legislature Tuesday is placing a proposed constitutional change regarding jury verdicts in the court of public opinion.

Voters will decide November 6th whether unanimous verdicts will be required in all felony cases, not just those dealing with capital crimes. As it stands now, ten out of 12 jurors must vote to convict or find a person not guilty.

The change requires a simple majority of those who vote on the proposal in the fall election.
