La. Education Superintendent: More Women Needed In Leadership

When it comes to education, Louisiana needs to have more women in leadership positions.

That was part of the message Superintendent of Education John White delivered yesterday in his keynote speech to the 6th Annual Teacher Leader Summit being held in New Orleans.

The Advocate reports White told the thousands gathered at the Morial Convention Center that a profession made up of 75% women can't be run "largely and exclusively by men."
