Moody's Declares Louisiana Financial Situation "Stable"

Waving Louisiana State Flag

There's good financial news for Louisiana from Moody's Investors Service, one of the country's largest credit rating agencies.

On Monday, Moody's declared the state's financial situation to be "stable."  It had earlier issued a "negative outlook" for the state, but the change follows legislative action on the budget and passage of a new sales tax rate to help shore up the state's spending.
