Early Prison Release Set For Driver Who Injured 32 Parade Goers

A July 20th release date is set for a man sentenced to five years in prison after driving drunk into a crowd and injuring 32 people at a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade.

Neilson Rizzuto of Paradis, 26, pleaded guilty earlier this year to multiple counts of negligent injuring stemming from the February 12th, 2017 crash at the Endymion Parade.

His early release is based on a law that applies to first-time, non-violent offenses with no behavior issues while locked up.
