There's finally a ruling in the death investigation of a New Orleans attorney who died last year from gunshot injuries suffered in a 2012 home invasion.

Orleans Parish Coroner Dwight McKenna ruled yesterday that Sandy Kaynor's death was a homicide and that he died of complications from the shooting.

The DA's office says murder charges will not be sought against those already serving lengthy sentences in Kaynor's killing.
