This should be some comfort to coastal Louisiana residents.

As the peak months for the Atlantic hurricane season arrive, NOAA's Climate Prediction Center is out with an updated forecast for named storms.

The agency is now predicting a 60% chance for a below-normal season.

The forecast now for the entire season is for 9-13 named storms, 4-7 hurricanes, with up to two of those being major hurricanes.
