An arrest appears to be nearing in connection with the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian last Wednesday night on the I-10 collector road in Metairie.
State police say they've located the Toyota Camry that hit and critically injured Gordon Poydras of New Orleans as he walked near the right lane. He died two days later.
As for the driver who fled the scene, troopers announced Monday they had identified a person of interest but had not made an arrest.
